About the Navajo Sterling Silver Jewelry Pendant

This pendant is a true treasure! The pendant is a gorgeous piece of Native American jewelry that is Navajo hand crafted by the artist, Julianna Williams out of genuine sterling silver and man made Turquoise stones. A total of THIRTY ONE stones are delicately set in hand cut bezel while being accented with mini silver beads and twisted silver that add style to the pendant. The pendant is stamped sterling and hallmarked.

Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of their appeal and beauty.
